Good to know
The New Vishwanath Temple is a large white marble temple in the centre of the campus. Bharat Kala Bhavan, the university museum, holds a collection of miniature paintings, sculpture and textiles.
The campus is large, so a vehicle is the easiest way to see it. Carry a valid ID and follow the gate rules, which can change.
About 25 to 30 minutes by car from the city centre. It sits close to Assi Ghat and Sankat Mochan, so it fits neatly into a half day in south Varanasi.
